Tranforming Lives

I'm AJ, a yoga teacher and trainer with a deep passion for holistic wellness. My journey began with Hatha Yoga, which provided me with a strong foundation and a sense of balance. I furthered my training in Ashtanga Vinyasa under the guidance of Manju Jois, where I learned the profound connection between breath and movement in building strength beyond the physical experience.

 

Driven by a desire to share this wonderful practice with others and a passionate dedication to practice and studies, I became a UK-certified Yoga Therapist. This path opened my eyes to the therapeutic potential of yoga, addressing the mind, body, and spirit, especially for individuals and groups without access to yoga. My exploration of various styles, including Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin Yoga—studied under Bernie Clark and Diana Batts—has enriched my practice and teaching approach.

Incorporating mindfulness and compassion into my teaching is essential to me, and I have completed an MSc in Mindfulness Studies to deepen my understanding. I work with individuals affected by traumatic experiences, offering private sessions and free group classes to ensure yoga, whether through movement or stillness, is accessible to everyone.

I continue to be inspired by other teachers and students, and as a yoga teacher trainer, I emphasize continuous learning, compassion, and an open heart. My journey has taught me the importance of self-discovery and finding inner harmony, and I strive to inspire my students to embrace their unique paths with the same dedication.
